What is the Organisation Readiness Indicator

The Organisation Readiness Indicator is an analysis tool that measures the Innovation Climate in an Organisation.

The Organisation Readiness Indicator is a profiling tool that all staff in an organisation should complete.

It is an online questionnaire and report based on the Innovation3 six-stage model of innovation.

The report identifies the organisation's readiness for each of the innovation stages, namely:


  • Creating the Climate
  • Idea Generation
  • Developing and Exploring Ideas
  • Evaluating Options and Decision Making
  • Making it Happen Implementing Innovation, and
  • Measuring Success, Monitoring Innovation

These six Stages are divided into three groups: the Stages that are the Underpinning elements of an innovative culture, those that are the Creative elements of the process, and those which are the Management elements of the process. We use three colours throughout this report to clearly define to which group each Stage belongs.

Within each Stage the questions that ask about elements in that stage are displayed with the average scores and distribution for those that responded.

These reports can be generated for the Organisation as a whole, or broken down by selected demographic to facilitate easy analysis.
