Our History

Significantly HRworkbench has been developed by HR Professionals with years of experience in the global Human Resource Industry. This means that we are not just another IT shop. We talk your language, we understand your needs, and we interpret this into an intuitive experience and easy-to-use interface.

In 1991, Alan and Christine Rands took their 15 years of experience in running a successful HR Consultancy and started to provide solutions for other consultancies. They identified that the Internet would ultimately provide global markets for many products and services and decided that HRworkbench should focus on a multi-lingual philosophy when developing its systems.

Based on this premis, the company developed a delivery platform on the internet for multi-lingual Human Resource management systems to solve problems encountered by HR professionals on a day-to-day basis. HR practitioners can embed their own intellectual property into the high-powered Platform, or use Intellectual Property provided by "thought leaders" around the Globe.

In 1996-97 the founders won National Awards for training design for their "Blended Learning" competency based training curriculum.

In December 2001, HRworkbench was admitted into the prestigious Australian Technology Showcase (ATS). They were finalists in the Patrons Awards and Investor Ready Awards in 2002. The ATS, is a program initiated by the NSW Government's Department of State and Regional Development to provide a channel through which Australian technologies can promote themselves to the world markets.
